He was quick and aggressive. It was nice to meet my previous style with my current Chinese techniques. He d...

Re: Tom's sparring day

I've received plenty bruises from your hits on arm, shoulder and neck. My neck required realignment that cost 500 HKD on Monday! LOL! Guess I'm out on this Sunday but I've found some other guys to come spar with you!

Tom's sparring day

Tom has paid us a visit again and here are his sparring videos of the day. He'll be coming several times within this month. Originally we called today's sparring off due to heavy raining during the week. Eventually, it was partially sunny in the afternoon so we went on sparring with whoever shows up...

Hhehe thanks. It's a quite difficult technique that many of my students could not master and she has only learned 1.5 months in total so far, including a vertical cut already! Thus she got talent definitely.

Re: The 3rd private tourney

Flying sword is definitely a special case, not good for every situation. For example, if you only have 1 opponent, or/and if you are not limited to 1 sword, or/and if the sword is retractable through a rope tied to the hilt, it won't be that "unwise". Sometimes it's worth the risk, especia...

Re: Sparring with a friend from the local Japanese armor clu

My friend is not as experienced as I am. His club also sparred much less than I do. Also, when he did spar, he was always sparring with his colleagues in the club, using very upright stance with middle guards testing out each other before commencing an attack, like Kendo. So it was the first time he...
