Oerthans

What sort of helm was it?

It seems, from asking around, that at least half of all Oerthan fighters are owed armor, rattan, guarb, or refunds for what we have paid for. It seems that less than honest dealers figure that they can avoid folks this far away. Sad.

inexpensive rustung

http://cgi.ebay.de/Brustpanzer-Landskne ... dZViewItem

Buy it now is about $190. US. and might work for Faire or war armour.

I wear something similar and it has been working out really well as war armour:

WARNING armorer problem

Since AA dumped the last 8 months: m Not only has this Mark Priest refused to respond to any of my many e-mails or ebay's but is trying to block paypal's attempts to collect payment. Several good folks here have communicated with him on my behalf and he seems to just be stalling to avoid any promise...

Fencing Club Members: WTB scoring machine

I am perfectly aware of how outside of most folks' experience and knowledge this is but let's see if there's a pony under all of this: Our local folks are looking for a cheap used Electric Fencing Scoring Machine. Too old to have sabre could be fine if the price is right. Reels and piste aren't need...

I hope that you all have more to share. As photogenic as a pass are it seems strange that there are so few filmed.

(BTW - we have a pas d'Armes planned for May 12th here in Earngyld)

m Talbot's has Brass Roset Rivets. Check out your local dead knights in Germany (effigies) and see how many use these on their body armours, belts, and even vervelles. It might help folks if you posted pictures of the Bretonnian boxes for them to see exactly what you have. It's hard to beleive that nobody here has a Warhammer army. Do you have the link to the Warhammer Ancients 100 Years War rules for these?

Maybe you can extort more of his sallet pictures first. At least contact/call him and see what all he has in stock. He should have a bit since Gulf Wars is coming up soon. When in doubt, buy stainless.

Vis. Karl von Sussen

http://stores.ebay.com/Von-Sussen-Enterprises_SC

Vis. Karl von Sussen has a few other hilts in stock. There are also Brennus' aluminum basket hilts designed to look like the lames of a mitten gauntlet. I'm pretty happy with mine since I polished it up:

Brennus, are you having second thoughts about the rest of the Osprey and Warhammer yet? I still need a pair of simple rondeled aluminum elbows and could use a few gauntlet-like aluminum basket hilts. THanks,

Jason, thanks for posting the "Tudor" shoe patterns. I hope that this gives folks a place to start making their own shoes from.

I agree that at least some of the times those little slippers had to have been attached to the hosen or you just couldn't march or fight in them.
