I'm not usre where/if I have the image stored, but I know I saw a margin illumination of two men sparring (wielding clubs, no armor) using center grip heaters. I believe it was a 14th century manuscript. I'll go looking and see what I can find.

I bought his personal helm, for my wife, off of Ebay. He claims that the top knot is crooked or off center or something. Even after he mentioned it I can't see it. It's a really great looking helm and surprisingly lightweight for being a mild face helm with locking cheeks and a full back plate. Fant...

I don't know when I will get down there next, but can certainly put it on the agenda and take pictures when I am there. There are some great pieces in the DIA - including a stone effigy of a 14th century Italian K...

We refer to a phenomenon called "insta-pee" in my group. It's that point in the day where you know you need to use the restroom but don't, and then because of the heat and the amount of sweating you are doing just standing still the need is suddenly gone. It happens a lot at Pennsic. Every...

McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com), pg 650. You can buy boxes of 1000 color changing dessicant sachets for <$45.
