Re: Gokstad bed done.

Working on a bed too, anyone have a good finish recommendation for a Pennsic bed? Period would be nice, but nicer would be something that will make this furniture last a lifetime of Pennsics. The turned bed of Potifer's wife in the Velislova Bible has always been one of my favorites. Additional inf...

Re: Pennsic XLI combat reviews

Is it too early to ask what the fighters thought about the sides this year? I think that, in spite of best efforts to even the sides, things were lopsided in favor of the East-Mid. I would prefer a hard-fought, even numbers war. Other than that, I thought it was great getting to fight with the East...

Review: Polar Bear Forge COP

Hi All- On my recommendation, a friend purchased a COP kit from Polar Bear Forge. He got the Aluminum set and purchased the extra plates just in case. WOW. The plates came completely cut, punched, and deburred. The edges were perfectly smooth with no prep work required. Each plate has a label etched...

An Open Letter to All Armorers

If you make armor for a living, this letter is for you - I've just spent the better part of the evening trying to put the gloves back in my finger gauntlets. The finger bits were already on the leather, the leather was already stitched to the gloves. All I needed to do was put the gloves in the gaun...

(Before I proceed: Do not click on these links if you are going to get squicked out by images of torture, semi-nekkid medieval chicks, or nekkid medieval chicks, because that's pretty much all this block of links is going to be.) I don't normally get squicked. Those are pretty darn squicky...

Actually, I've been in touch with her personally, and she's aware of my hesitation, but I'm treading lightly. And since I want her to keep writing to me, I don't want to contradict her publicly. I suppose the Archive is public, but not like Daily Mail public. :-D It sounds like she disagrees with y...

Re: C15 Bras from Lengburg castle

As I mention above, the crotch is excessively wide for the female anatomy. It would serve to create a convenient pouch for a male, however. Perhaps the argument could be made for making room for material that would assist in the containment of monthly bleeding, but without going into excessive deta...

Check with Matt Vogt - his lines are sweet and he usually has stuff in stock. I believe he will be at Baron Wars tomorrow. If you aren't going, let me know and I will look at what he has and can send you a picture via phone and purchase on your behalf if you approve.

2" Thrusting Tip Foam

Can anyone accurately describe the foam (diameter, thickness, total number of discs) that is sold with the 2" rubber thrusting tips? The SEM says: Mandrake style rubber 2" tips (black and red) are to be considered an equivalent to 3" tips for use on fiberglass spearshafts up to 9' in length as of Ma...

I have two pairs of "torches" that use wooden slats woven around a tiki torch can to give a very nice impression of a torch that can be either carried or mounted on a pole. Let me know and I will snap some pictures if you are interested.

Which set are these - it looks like you have two different designs on your photobucket page.

Also, is the thumb hard articulated, or strapped?

Thanks,
