I'm using Maya

i could draw it myself but i would like to use a real suit as a reference

it helps to get a sence of depth even in the orthographic veiws

this is a project i did using photos rather than drawings

that would be great. some tips on taking orthographic photos is to have the camera operator stand farter away and zoom in, this helps flatten the image and get rid of some foreshortining of the feet and head your suit is just what i was looking for and i'm really in no hurry. i am getting a degree i...

the first picture is pretty good it's a perfect suit of armour to model but i would be building the 3d model right over the pictures so if the camera isn't right on the final piece can look wierd if no one has anything else i will try and use it the hand stand is a nice trick too thanks alot

i've made my own rope machine, i can take a picture for you if you want. it was made in one day out of wire and ply-wood it works well though

i've also seen rope make of flax and horsehair

well, the one i saw was somewhere on the archive

one had horns comingout of the side of the helm pointing forward and the other had bars of steel pointing up with weird rectangles going out

i couldn't find them again so i dont have pics

is this historically correct

i also saw onw with giant rectangular metal horns

i'm still looking for chest/back armour

i'm trying out a coat of plates from Gypsy but it doesnt fit very well

if you have lammelar plates, i'm willing to assemble

i'm 6 ft 2 in tall so it's kind of hard to find armour that covers everything

correct me if i'm wrong but

i think the kidney belt is used if you dont have chest or back protection, and the c belt is just for hooking legs onto

the kidneybelts i've seen have big plastic or metal plates on them and can even be sewn into a gambeson

again, i'm not sure
