The legs are good, perhaps a tad short on me as well, but the leather makes up the difference and my Jupon should hide all sins. Havent had a chance to fightin them yet.

Mrs W. I would largely agree with your 'character building' assesment of our (SCA) combat style. It is a rough and tumble sport wear the playing field is level, ie we dont have weight/rank/gender classes. I would also agree with many of the previous posts that it is not necessarily in and of itself ...

Noe, if you lose on all other fronts and get the account but have to use big loopy slow fighting styles, sneak in one character who uses fiore/wma and go for brutally efficient destruction avoiding all the fancy entertainment western-fu or uber strong character traits etc... Maybe that'll get there ...

Lothar, Based on your garb I would say Bohemond is the best bet, I believe he makes his shoes in the same fashion that Allastair did. I have a pair of ankle high 'turn shoes' from Allastair that I have been fighting in for several months now and love them. They dont have quite the same grip as a vib...

I have found heat to be a major issue for me. I currently fight in a heavy leather belt worn under a gambeson padded with cotton, with mail over that. There are some small plastic plates for sternum and shoulders but they amount to very little in the way of heat retention. Soaking the gambeson helps...

Russ send me some pics if possible, or post them here. It occurs to me that I could send you a quantity of Adams D shaped lamellar if that would interest you, assuming he has enough in stock. Also measurements would be good, or glove size.
