Sold: Crossbow, Now with Pictures

I have a crossbow I seldom shoot. The stock is two pieces of purple heart with a piece of blond wood sandwiched in between. I have no idea who made this bow, as I received it in trade for a horse bow from a friend who was having trouble spanning it. The prod is steel and both the foot loop and the t...

Russ, I passed my mongol on to a friend a while back and have missed it ever since. Do you have anything in your stock that could suit my monster long pull? I think I am pulling 30+ inches.

Heh,
try it with a whole hauberk.
It's still schmutzig, leaves a layer of black grime on anything it touches.

It is part of the charm.

BERZERKERâ„¢ fighters are totally cool, they flip out all the time. And kill ninja's lot's and they use Warhammersâ„¢ (which look suspiciously like my favorite 3lb sledge hammer). On a serious note, what is the '5's? I am imagining it is attack vectors? Maybe two each from left and right and a thrus...

Re: Demis

I would be interested in what you would charge for a set. I, for some reason cannot make a satisfactory cuff. Thanks, Roger I will need to get back to you on cost, I have to time myself on the hammer work. And it would depend on what materials you would like. I am working on getting my kiln set up ...

Wow what a thread.

6'2" eyes of blue.

200lbs of Yukon dog meat.

Not an award to my name, although some people I admire have said nice things about me.

39 years under the belt - but mostly its the mileage. I have been playing this game for 20 of them.

No these do not ground out on the rattan.

Roger, yes I can certainly make demis in the same fashion, or cover the steel with leather.
I am making myself some demis out of the first cuffs I made for this project that were a fail.

Heat Gavin, Heat. Mine used heat in the form of a mig welder. Even if you cant work it hot, you might have some luck taking a plumbers torch and normalizing a section at a time, this will at least help keep it from building up stresses and driving a ripple in front of your hammer as you make your pa...

PREVIEW: Wisby Gauntlet Prototypes

These gauntlets are my working prototypes. I have been figuring out my production processes and getting the work flow sussed out. These will be available for sale once I have reworked the cuff and completed the second gauntlet. I figured I would post a couple of pics to help gauge interest. These ar...

Yes it is a late 14th, early 15th century style. The armor I am wearing is kind of a mashup. Animal, the corrazina came to just below the crotch on me. You can alter it some by increasing the spacing between the pieces of the fauld, or slicing the fauld pieces thinner or omitting one of lower pieces...

and it is.

Although if your committed to buying the pieces separately I can certainly accommodate you and would be willing to charge higher prices, although that wouldn't in the strictest sense be fair. But I am not above accepting charity.

May i see the inside of the helm, specifically the liner please? Pictures on the way. I need to resize them. It is based on the SoFC design, and stitched in to holes drilled around the perimeter of the helmet. It is made up of .5" medium density foam which has great impact absorption, its not ...

SOLD: Bascinet stainless steel.

I am putting my bascinet up for sale. It was originally built by Duke Kelson. I have modified it somewhat replacing the visor hinge with one of Earl Brion's cast steel ones. I built the bargrill to more or less mirror the lines of the klapvisor and added vervelles to extend the aventail up the side ...
