plastic forming

if you use a heat stripping gun and have it blow under the metal breast plate you can get the plastic to form over it
here is a sample of one that i made it is not complete yet

for the most part i would say its youth fighting (boffer)
how ever i have tried hitting dished pieces with hammers and it takes an extremly hard hit to break the plastic....

plastic armour newbie question?

what is your take on using abs plastic to make amour for boffer fighting
i have some 1/4 inch thick plastic that has some spongenest in the center
gets plable at about 220 degrees and looks like hard leather
