For hose and chausses, I have nothing but good things to say about TailorMade Garments . I have two pairs of their linen hosen, and they are great. Attractive in a female sense, or in an armour sense? Aka, is she looking for something that is anatomically correct, or has really nice historical lines? Looks interesting. You may want to try and work on a bit more definition out of fluting on some scrap. I can't tell if you did or not in the pictures, but you might want to make sure the edges on the front gap are fairly blunt, unless you want to accidentally cut your face (It was shaving, I swear!)...

Syr Finn, the next time you see my wife, we did her new set of gauntlets the same way that Cian is talking about. Working out pretty well for right now, still needs some minor tweaking. IIRC, Graedwyn set his up the same way.

Very nice looking. How is the overall rigidity of the piece to bending and flexing? The only thing that is looking "off" is the multiple layers, with very definable edges. Maybe a thinner piece for the applique, skived to give a gradual appearance?

It also depends on the period. While not an hourglass cuff per se, Sir Graedwyn has a really small boss on his kite, specifically to allow the back point of his Grettir gauntlets to fit (it covers the hole and adds some more room).
