The thing I liked about this kit was that the BP curved out a little, transferring impact away from the sternum. I like the looks of the spanish collar gorget a lot but it doesnt brace against anything.

The char aina didnt come far enough up my chest, it left half the sternum exposed. I was looking for something to go under a deel and look cool. The deel is a big coat, hides a multitude of sins.

Anybody fight in a corrazina?

Next idea. Since the char aina thing isnt working out I gotta drop back ten and punt. I saw that corrazina kit on the classified ads page and got to thinking about wearing something like that under a fighting deel. Any of you that wear armor like that but maybe covered in fabric or leather, care to ...

Yah. I'm rounding up folks in the clan and we're making the trip. I'm still not in armor, waiting for the ol' sternum to quit grinding together and knit for a bit more first, but we'll be there. Cant wait to hang out!

I got the pattern for the bazubands I make off here. You can use the steel patterns no worries, just stitch the leather where you would normally weld it. Also it helps if you know how to soak and work wet leather to form a bowl for he elbow, not some sharp keeled thing.

The one in the Met has the front come further up than most I've seen so it may be of use but not sure if it's the style you had in mind. m Only one I've attempted was out of barrel plastic for a female fighter that wanted more "upper" protection. She wanted the square plates so we ended u...

Fuck that. Fight harder and win anyway. It's not your tools as much as how you use them and the spirit that moves them. Do what your personna did. I do, and I win.

Every year people end up grappling some at our tournament. If it goes on too long we stand them up and let them resume on their feet. Knee fighting is stupid. I'm too old, and my dignity does not allow me to crawl around on the floor. A wound that would take away use of my leg would take me out of a fight anyway. I dont do it.
