"How many times have any of you gentlemen actually fought anyone from Lochac, if ever?" Pardon me for not answering that part of your question earlier Your Majesty. Not very often, at least not as far as I know for sure. Only one from the old days sticks out in my mind pretty clearly. I ha...

My apologies for missing these comments earlier and bringing up old business but i didn't feel the need to intrude in business I had no insight on. But i got bored and had a look anyway and decided that I did, in fact, need to intrude. @BdeB & Hartman "How about Lochac? Back in principalit...

A nine foot hardwood pole bound in iron or brass at the ends.....and traditionally the early models were fairly thick....were they not? I think they could give most armoured guys something to think about. Yeah. They'd think about it for a second and then stab you in the harbles with their pollaxe. ...

The only thing worse than a rules weasel, is a clever rules weasel. I still think we need a society wide "Order of the Rules Weasel" that can be given out by the crown or his representatives as needed. That should really fix a lot of this crap. Call just one guy into court and give it out,...

Re: Body to Body

Hey Richard, I know you're the other guy, but I noticed it in your video. In dealing with some Meridians while training, I gained the impression that the kingdom's rules and or traditions strongly discourage body to body, close in rush and bump stuff. If that is correct, how come no one complained ...

It does pose the (sometimes extremely) reasonable question of can the wearer of the Real Armour judge blows properly for fighting in the SCA. I have no problem with the reasonable. It is the unreasonable I begin to have issue with. It is when OTHER people begin to call blows because the looked good...

Excuse me... I see you have real armor and not the SCA minimum. Can you feel those shots through that? Ummm, but we don't calibrate to SCA minimums. The calibration standard stated in the SCA guidelines is full blown 11th century armour. If we start calibrating to SCA minimums, virtually everybody'...

I must admit, that I never thought the solution to Gulf Wars strife between various kingdoms, would be a liberal dose of Puerto Rican Hookers.

What, take two and call Dr. Thor in the morning?

It also seems that, even from the people who witnessed that it HAD happened, that it hasn't happened in some time, certainly not any time recently.
