Here is what I've done to my spear.

Leather covering the foam, and a thicker leather outer covering so it doesn't lay over.

I use my Cutco-s all the time and they are pretty awesome. Had'em for 8 years and they're still sharp. In fact I just cut out a geave wtih'em tonight.

Bone/Antler Carving Question

When finishing up a carved item, I see that sometimes the lines are darker where designs have been cut into the item. What is this and how it it made. Is it some sort of ash and wax mixture?

Here is mine. I wear hidden armour but, sometimes a chain shirt. I do wear splinted 1/2 greaves sometime.
