Re: Anyone want a website?

just because you have a tiny computer monitor... actually my client for the site put that up as an afterthought after i'd already made him the site. it originally was much skinnier. most of the reason i did the site was so that i could finally have an excuse to use brush strokes in a website :-p. .....

doesn't that mean that one could make a swiss cheese shield? why would anyone have ANY openings or holes in a shield? (visible anyway, and if not, isn't a shield boss a bigger hole than 1 inch diameter)

Anyone want a website?

Hello everyone, I'm a professional web developer, but somehow I've moved up to managing the programmers who make the websites for me. I want to have some fun making a website in my spare time, so if there are any armourers who want a free website, give me a ring. I just want to have some fun, so I t...

i actually did a ballroom dance demo right after a fighting demo at my school once. I just dropped my helmet and my gauntlets and jived on the plaza. as a partipant in regular triathlons, i was scared for a minute thinking about armored triathlons. "And GO!" *spash!* ... ... ... *bubble*

I haven't yet had the chance to fight in my new stonekeep legs, but I WAS able to dance 5 hours strait in them (i went to a "camelot" ball as lancelot, it was quite fun). and everyone knows, it's not good armor unless you can dance in it

wtb spring steel anything?

I see stainless, mild, aluminum, and even sometimes titanium products being sold by armorers on the web, but i haven't seen spring steel anywhere. does anyone know who/where to go to find spring steel stuff? maybe start with the entry level stuff and move on? any ideas on what a suit might cost? i'm...

I've been told that they don't have all those authorizations out here in the west because we just have an honour system. if you want to pick up a weapon, we trust that you're going to learn how to use it properly. if you don't use it properly, we'll talk to you.

Hardening anything you're going to hit with a hardened hammer is a bad idea. There is a realistic posibility of either hammer or tool shattering and sending high velocity metal shards at you. Is it a common accident? I dunno. But worth avoiding in my mind. Want to see my scar? I had a small shard o...

yeah, this guy was a light archer. he had an open kettle helm. the rules, as i was informed, at this war were archers are dead within 10 ft, but you need to tell them. This was on a bridge battle of sorts, and I had him cornered against "walls" (haystacks)

yes, i'm even more confused now. so theoretically, an archer who's not a heavy, (this one wasn't) can just run away, then keep shooting and can't be killed? i don't remember the white diamonds from any of my readings of rules of the lists, i'm not sure on that one. I couldn't say wether he had one o...

on the archer tangent, i was within 10 ft of the guy when he fired at me. i was told that you don't hit archers unless they put down their bow and draw their sword (that is, if they are the mixed type). i was also told that an archer must yield if he's not equipped for heavy fighting. seeing as how ...

it was "enforced". ie, no marshall saw it in the big clump of that particular bridge battle. that estrella was my first time in armor. i also had some problems with unyielding archers. at least with the archers, i had a marshall yelling at an archer. when you say "yield" within 10 ft of an archer, y...

I AM an actress! And I guess my armour is (compared to the body weight) the heaviest armour in the region (about 40-50% body weight, depending on weapon form). heh, then my kit being more than 50% of my body weight (i weigh 175, the kit is 100) really IS the heaviest kit around. Yeah, once you're in hitting range, if you're not taking shots at your opponent (s)he is taking shots at you. my basic strategy though, is quite simple "don't get hit". that means i fight defensively. it doesn't mean i don't attack, but it means that i wait for my opponent to make the first mistake....
