i just bought off the shelf type armour from ashcraft baker and it took more than a month to ship. he's supposed to be fast. you can only imagine how long a custom made one might take.

just remember what someone told me at practice, if armorers were reliable, they might have normal jobs

well, i think that a real camelback doesn't spurt out when it gets compressed. you have to open the little valve thingie on the tube to get the water out. that water bottle story is classic though :)

padding a helmet?

ok, so i got my helmet in the mail today, went out and bought your standard issue blue foam. now what? does anyone have recommendations on padding a helmet? This is my first helmet, so something simple is nice. I've seen some sort of hat form that looks like triangles over a band when unrolled. The ...

yeah, helms and body protection are the two hardest to find items in the loaner bucket. lots of arms, gorgets, lets, etc, just one or two helmets and one body. i'm still in loaner gear and i can't fight because the loaner helmet isn't safe for me to wear.

well, in a real fight, don't worry about power or technique or anything like that, just grab his throat in one hand and his balls in the other. twist in opposite motions until he stops. point being, in a real fight, you do what it takes to survive. tai chi is interesting like that, in that you don't...

WTB simple c-belt

i'm in search of a c-belt to support my massive 14 guage legs (which are so big they could fit over another pair of legs that actually fit. i could probably make 3 or 4 pairs of legs with the metal from just this one pair) at practice the other day, i saw a lot of c-belts that looked kinda like atta...

wanted: brigadine or coat of plates

I'm in search of either brigadine armor or coat of plates. I'm hoping to spend around $100 plus shipping or a top limit of $200 if it's really nice (which i don't particularly need). I'm trying to get equipment together for estrella and would like to know where to aquire such a thing for such a pric...
