Its for a play. They were not really excited with kids waving around metal swords.

Im trying to make wooden swords sound less like wood and more like a metal sword. Any ideas?

A friend of mine just started making armor and he asked me what I would suggest for an easy 2nd project. He already made Spaulders which turned out well. I suggested vambraces, but he wanted me to ask if anyone else had ideas.

This is my first attempt at making gauntlets. I am not quite satisfied how they turned out. I can't grip a sword very well and when looking at it from diffrent angles they don't look quite right any sugestions on improving Gauntlets.

I was walking around in lowes yesterday and found some stuff that makes cool armor. It would also look good if it was painted brown and the spikes painted silver.[img]http://fordboyz.net/armor.jpg[/img]

The play is mostly for high school kids. I did start messing around with pvc but i havent figured out the best size or thickness. I tryed using 1/2 inch ( the thicker stuff) which was not to bad. Also since all of links had to be cut i almost burned out the moter on the miter saw so i had to use a b...

The movie has made things more flashy so what I figure is that if we try to make it like the movie it will look sad in comparison. So we want to do the armor weapons... in our own unique fashion. As far as swords go we might be allowed wooden ones. Making a lot of wooden swords though i have discove...

Being a school play I'm shure that the funds will be limited. They at least want to have decient armor for the leading characters.

HI, I have been asked to make some armor for a play. Unfortinatly i don't have the time to "properly" make it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas (or know of any web pages on) how to make simple and fast, yet realistic armor. chain mail will be sort of easy cause i can just show the sleeves but...
