The pattern is based roughly on some 14th century pourpoints I don't have references for lace up ones, most had buttons. The lacing at the side is also an assumption. This was made for a trade with Ivar. The inner and outer shell is 6oz linen. The laces are hemp twine. The padding is 3 layers of 100% cotton batting. I am getting my belt done by Viking Leather also. In fact I just sent out the hardware to him today.
