Mad Matt - unable to log in

Howdy folks.

I got a note from Matt asking me to post here for him - he's currently unable to log in (and unable to read his PM's). If you're waiting for a response to a PM, email Matt until his login difficulties are fixed.

JT/admin - um, Mad Matt says's he can't log on.

Custom armor needed - stainless Gothic

Howdy, folks.

I have an ... um eccentric client who wants a custom suit of Gothic armor in stainless made to his exact measurements and specifications. Costume weight, not fighting grade, but his wants are very specific. Anyone up to the challenge? Contact me in email or PM.

I used to think that for $80 they were ok $80? Maybe you've been getting my rejects from the cheap'swords'r'us shop monkeys! Our local south Texas Viking group uses both Paul Binns and Paul Chens. The Chens hold up just fine against Chens, but do notch (as you've noted) when used against the Binns.

1) my friend and I have been arguing for a couple days about which oakeshott type this sword is http://therionarms.com/reenact/therionarms_c481.html To us, the fuller says 11, but the blade shape says 12. Re: WTB: Saxon axe

Having just come from Pennsic, I was surprised I saw no weapon merchants selling any axes really other than throwing types. What I am looking for is a great axe that a Saxon huscarl of the 11th century might be using. Something like this? http://www.therionarms.com/reenact/therionarms_c393a.jpg My ...

Re: War story

I just have to share a little war story about Reiter/Pistoleer armour in the SCA. It was last Gulf Wars and I had been working on my Landsknecht/Doppelsoldner armour so I showed up extra early for armour inspection (armour passed with no problem but they failed all of my weapons!) As other fighters...

Hey, Hal (2). Just to reiterate what other folks have said, there's no point to posting on ebay with a reserve price and then stating your reserve. Using reserve prices is a "hide what I want for it" tactic where you hope bidders will get fired up enough to keep bidding until they hit your reserve. ...

I call these my "M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank" legs. They're mild steel, 2mm (1/16") thick, weighing in at 6 lbs 9.6 oz each. They're not listed on my site, I bought them for my own use a couple of years ago but haven't worn them in quite a while and they should go to a new loving home where they wi...

One thing not mentioned so far:

"comedy" weapons made with brightly colored duct tape and rubber bath toys - there's nothing stupider looking than someone trying to hit you with a flourescent spear that has a madball face or rubber ducky on the end.
