When one is on the knees and sitting on the heels with the toes supporting the body, the ankle is under a great deal of stress and can be easily broken if the other fighter loses balance and falls on you. I have seen it happen. And while not common, it is a bummer. -- Gest That and your opponent co...

So this is my pet theory concerning hip belts- If you look at this page , it shows slits at roughly the hips. I think that a hip belt worn over the straps of a sword and dagger could provide traction for the belt. I do not know if this would work, as I have not had a chance to test the theory. Somed...

In the past, H.E. has been sold out of points following Pennsic. It seems that it takes more than a month for stock to be refilled. This may be the case, as I remember seeing points on their web site not too long ago. I don't think that they would discontinue this product, since it is a necessary it...

Ren- 3-4 oz should be fine if you are making nonfighting shoes. I have not done clumps yet, but I am planning on it soon. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the turn shoes that I have made. Did you know that the Complete Anachronist recently had an issue published concerning turn shoes? It is issue...

Just in case anyone is sitting on the fence about these--- I picked up a couple of bowls and spoons from Mike awhile ago and can say the pictures do not do them justice. Gethin, it is yours. Hi Doug, Just becouse I was not specific, I would like the left handed edition of your armoring manual. Ah hell! let me add 1 copy of the barbute and 1 copy of the journal. I believe that brings the total to $40.00, yes? Is shipping included in the price or seperate? Thank you!...

Skivies for the early 16th century
Sooo,
Were men's underwear the same as the late 15th century? I am looking at
the late part of HenryVII and early Henry VIII riegns and have not seen any references to underwear as of yet.
Thanks in advance!
