I used to make titanium basket hilts. if you doubled your price would it be worth it?
I charged 125 and people bought as many as I would make. one guy traded a nice mountain bike for one.
you wont be able to sell very many.. but people will still want them from time to time.
even at twice the price.

titanium scrap/short(s) is worth 20 -30 a pound or square foot so duke alaric is correct. it is worth something.
I just got 72 sq feet today from fedex and it was expensive ;)

titanium cuts is easy to cut with a bev shear. as mentioned above .063(16ga) is really thick. I use .050 for legs and gauntlets and .063 for baskets and knucklebars only. you could use .025 or .032 Ti for scales and save effort ...

those are really nice.
the bi gauntlets are out of my titanium skill category.
sharp 90 degrees bends like that are impossible with any of the heavy duty alloys.
besides I couldnt stand the finger splay on a pair like that.

I roll titanium quite often and think alum is soft.

you need better techniques. I can roll titanium by hand.

look up deburring wheel on ebay.com.

I have a 14inch grinder with a composite wheel that makes titanium burrs nice and smooth.

3M Scotch-Brite EXL XP Deburring Wheel 11S FIN,8"x2"x3"

they can be expensive but if you are doing a lot of deburring they are indispensable.

actually titanium absorbs Hydrogen so keep it away from hydrogen rich atmospheres like in a propane forge. six heats saw it snap for me. as mentioned it needs to be heated in argon. the question is why anneal it? your problem ...

if you want something that will take a heavy beating use titanium.

.063 ought to do it. if you are really going to take a punishment try .071 or .080

.071 al6-4v at .071 took a sharpened pickax swing and dented slightly with a small work crack. equivalent stainless deformed and pierced.
