This would be an excellent pattern to add to the archives. Beginners could learn to dish w/o too much plandishing, and mistakes would be hidden by the leather or velvet covering. Anybody up for it?

I would like to thank everyone who's added to this thread.
I've begone this project and I will post photos soon BUT I'm not willing to waste leather making the backing for the plates.
Any ideas on a pattern to face the corazzina's plates?

When I made one, I just placed the shaped plates on some material and traced around them. Then once the fabric was attached to the plates I trimed it down to help reduce the bulk. You could try a "dry fit" then sew the fabric to make it really nice.
Post pics.
