Guess this could fit in this forum.

This is a rather large metal shear my roommate has sitting in the back yard. I don't know much about it but would like to. It appears to be very hefty and able to cut seriously thick metal. Don't remember the company off hand but I know it was made in Worcester Mass.

You can tell the scale.....that section behind it has a standard sized door for reference.

Anyone have any more info. on it?

Hard to tell but the lettering on the tool will help track down model and maker. otherwise we are just makeing an educated guess.

It looks like an edwards shear very symalar to this tool from Jet

Capacity can change a lot between models.

Good for makeing strait line cuts, not so good at outside curves, inside curves are right out.

Probably tomorrow.....I am going to write down what all is on the side. It's an interesting old find. Needs loads of work though.
