epoxy for leather + aluminum

Hey! I'm wondering what kind of epoxy or glue you would recommend for attaching leather to the face of my aluminum shield? I can't stand that rattle aluminum shields make, so I want to dull it a bit. And it makes for a more period presentation. Something I can readily buy at a chain hardware department store would be preferable. Thanks!

I like barge cement. or 3M spray adhesive the Super 90 or the 77 work well.

Make sure to have clean aluminum.

It helps to trimdown and reinforce the edge a little to provent pealing.

The leather can add a bit of weight when it gets wet and be a little funky if you just don't take care of it.

I used a single 5-oz tube of household cement for the job. One of those talented adhesives that lists the materials it bonds on the package art. "Says here it bonds metal and it bonds leather..."

It should be available at any good leather shop.
Symalar producst are sold under the "masters" and "duall" brands.

It does fall under the guide lines as dangerous material for Canadian Post.
You might beable to use another carier like fedex or UPS and order it from the US. If you have trubble finding a supplier.

Yes Tandy sells tubes and quarts. I can get you gallons and pails if you doing a lot.

Frankly for that application, any brand of contact cement will do the trick.
