Just ripped a hole in a nearly completely shaped klapvisor with my air fluting hammer. Aparantly I should have checked what I had the air pressure set at. And then to top it off I botched the patch weld. so now there's gonna be a big visible weld on the inside no matter what I do with it.
Time to have lunch and then start all over.
If anyone wants to send me money for the botched one lemme know. It needs some planishing, the flute made into a crease and the eyes need to be made square and holes cut but are rough shaped. Can post a pic if anyone's interested in it.

Hi Matt, Damn, I hate stuff like that. Cant you just weld it up and grind off both sides of the weld? inner and outer? Should be no problem I wouldnt think. Or did stuff get too melted to save? I hate that too...
Take care

The inside is a pretty tight curve and hard to get a grinder into.
I've posted the visor for sale on the classifieds I'll do the 20 mins of work left to finish it minus drilling holes for breaths and on the oculars.
Already finished all the shaping work on the re-do. Just need to do sanding polishing and cut ocular and drill breaths.

we use a die grinder air tool, can reach into itty bitty spaces depending on the tip. eats up the metal.. great for bar grill clean up.

I don't have one and it's more trouble then it's worth considering it's less then 2 hours to fully shape a klapvisor.
