13th century German armor

I am looking for information on 13th century German armor.
Any and all links, images and other sources are welcome.
I am not looking for a particular type here, I am looking to get an overview of armor that was used in this period and also they classes of people that might have used it.

You're looking at mail. The statue of Saint Maurice in Magdeburg shows what some call an "armored surcoat", but that (besides the helm) is the only non-mail I know. Someone else can probably cover the helm options better, but in general you're looking at a barrel helm (a number extant in Germany) or some sort of conical helm, and variations on these two.

Medievaltymes' Maciejowski Bible site. All the pics you could ever want, and detailed, too! The exact origin of this illuminated Bible's artwork is somewhat vague -- French? German somewhere? -- but since western Europe was pretty universally equipped in hauberks, helms, and chausses for the most part, and some gambesons and kettlehats as well, about the most distinctively German part of such gear would be the heraldry on the shield. The MB dates to c. 1250 and has passed through many hands, including one or more Ottomans, before returning to Europe with Arabic glosses jotted in some margins.
2 Samuel has an excellent pic of David removing a hauberk by the bend-and-shimmy technique. The MB is full of such superb observation; its artists (at least two) knew what they drew.
