can some one help me out? I'm in the SCA and I need to know what kind of armour i need to be a heavy archer...so if anyone knows anything it would help me out a lot. Thanks

The same you need for a heavy-fighter!

The minimums are:

Helmet
Gorget
Some form of Kidney protection
Elbows
Knees
Gauntlets

For Combat archery the gauntlets vary a bit, most are modified so they don't get in the way fo the bow string.

Archers need to be armored the same as everyone else. (although most regular fighters go above the minimums and archers stay closer to minimums)

Section VI on page 10 starts the armor requirements. Page 12, VI/F/5 lists the only exception which is you can wear a halfgauntlet on your string hand but you can not engage in melee combat without additional protection.

Now are you interested in sport-efficient armor or historically accurate archer armor or cheap to get started armor?

I'm aiming to be historically accurate as possible, but I'm only 15 so I'm going to make it cheep armor. I was thinking of lamallar with pickle barrel armor for the parts that will grow the most (legs and arms).

Lamellar grows with you and works quite nicely for most of your arm and leg needs.
Pickle barrels are for pickles.
If you are going for a Steppes heavy archer portrayal, you can wear a Mongolian style lamellar coat with full lamellar "sleeves" and lamellar "skirting" to the floor (or as low as you need without tripping over).
You can even use a lamellar aventail for the helmet.

A demi gaunt is basically a gauntlet with the finger protection missing. Usually these are used with a baskethilt to cover the fingers.

The questions first: Yes a half gauntlet is a Demigauntlet. And having just done ca in my regular heavy kit which uses bazubands they will work just fine.

Good for you on trying to be as historicly acurate as you can in this portrayal at such a young age. Good luck and have fun.

If your purpose is room to grow, there is no need for Bazubands
As mentioned, you can just have the lamellar continue all the way down your arm

Except that I can't find the images where the sleeves are all the way to the fingertips -- which is what I had in mind.
Theoreticaly, if done right, that can even cover the area normally covered by the half-gauntlet.

But yes -- Bazubands do work for SCA
