Greetings everyone,

Well it's been awhile since I've posted something here from Phoenix Steel.

Some updates to our Scottish Burgeonet and our Bellows Face Sallet.

First the Bellows Face after it's trip to the polisher and with our Maltese, or Crusader as some folks want to call it 8) , rivets.

And the Scottish Burgeonet. This one is sans bargrill. More pics, and with the bargrill, can be seen in this thread.

And a special sneak preview of some things to come, acid etch sword.

Nice shop too.
You must have some powerful buffers
Jolly well done.

1.5HP but then it doesn't hurt that one of our employees is 6'6" and 350lbs either

Thanks for the comments. The last several helms the folks have wanted that polished look. Waldryk keeps telling me to call it our rough buff because polished means mirror finish. I gave up on trying to explain to him our rough buff is everyone else's polished. :)

We do have items and can finish helms in a matte finish.

Personally... I do not think a fantastic mirror buff is necessary.
Not for the game most play.

When I do armour, I try to make it look real.
Not everyone can have Kings Armour. Yes?

True. But it's a paying job and they pay the extra money for it. Someone should offer a re-polishing service for the polished pieces that go out.

The type of finish on a helm makes a difference if you want yo do other things to it, like blueing or blackening. My own helm doesn't even have the matte finish as I'm looking for someone who can annodize SS to look like bronze. That way I can get my Greek Corinthian to look more period with a cast and shaped look of bronze.
