PoD, One of these days I'm not going to be able to turn my head in time before the coffee squirts outta my nose and ruins my keyboard... and it'll be ALL YOUR FAULT!

there not too bad if you turn them inside out.

one of the guys in my shire has one. it would seem to fit a skinny guy with really long arms. i tried it on and it fit my chest and shoulders fine(5'11", 42" chest, 180lbs) but i couldn't get my hands through the sleeves they were just too long. and i have pretty much average length arms

I have one of these, my opinion

it rips out along the armpit rather quickly
it's VERY warm, I wore mine in everything from rain to snow and never worried about getting cold, if your armour fits closly it won't fit over one of these, it costs near a hundred bucks. do yourself a favor and have someone tailer make you one it isn't worth the money for the time it takes to repair it.
also you may have to add grommets all over it just to let the hot air out for summertime fighting. I have a 42 inch chest and the smaller size is the tinest bit too big for me. Currently I am on the market for another one that looks better and works better
so far the best price i can find for a gambison that at least looks a heck of a lot better is http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/gildedlily/gambeson.HTM
but i have never seen her work up close

I ordered one about a month ago. Now I wish I would have commissioned someone to make me one, but we'll see. The comments made so far are good ones. It doesnt appear to be as ventilated as it should be (or as I would like it to be) A few others have posted that the armpits (especially the your sword arm) rip out easily. To prevent more tearing they hemmed up the rips but left the holes. This is a good idea, but I say why not just beat the garment to the punch and do it first. I like the idea of paying good money for something then promptly ruining it so it works better. heh. I plan on completely detaching the arms, adding grommits and lacing the arms back on.

Unfortunately mine is STILL backordered. I'll let you know what happens when it finally arrives!

PoD -- Hey, Pal, I AM a bald white guy. Thanks for making me cry uncontrollably. Big bully. God, I miss my hair.

lol Adriano. Don't worry. I'm 20 years old and have a receding hairline that is very noticeable. I don't plan on having any hair past 40.

But I'll still be dead sexay Image

Konall, in the event that PoD ruins your keyboard in the afore mentioned manner simply unplug it from your machine stuff it in the dish washer and let her rip. Just let if dry thoroughly before using. Then try realy hard to get him back.
