New Arms for a friend

Just completed them about an hour ago. It's late, but I wanted to get these up before I leave for Grand Thing tomorrow- where they will be delivered.

* They are water/wax hardened, undyed leather (per request).
* Brass splints were engraved using 3 stacked cutting disks on my dremel.
* The rivet burrs are upholstery tacks with the centers punched out (an idea blatantly stolen from here)
* Rivets were actually spiral nails with a second washer on the inside.
* The stag detail is gold dyed pig belly glued to a garment weight black leather. I used SuperGlue Gel. I have used it before like that with good results - my first attempt has lasted 10+ years so far.

On to the pictures:

Thanks for the comments.

The brass is about the equivalent of 20g steel. (about 1mm thick)

When I pulled them out of the bag to hand them to my friend - I thought he would fall out of his chair. He spend most of the weekend showing them off and telling people where he got them. I love free advertising!
