Forge Blackened Valsgarde 6

Just thought I would share with everyone my latest custom helm which was commissioned by Marc Lauterbach. I built the main frame with the large Y's and occular, hard riveted it together and then threw it into the forge for a nice scaley forge blackened effect. The same was done with the back slats. The small Y's, the upper crossweaves, and the cheeks were left a natural blue gray in order to create an alternating texture/color scheme which I am very happy with the way it all turned out. The bargrill was forge constructed using 5/16" square stock and most of the bars have a opposing double twist to them. Main frame, back slats, and crossweaves are 12g. The large Y's and occular are 10g. The small Ys and cheeks are 14g. The eyebrows were custom cast in brass special for this helm. Pics attached below. Enjoy!! :D

Very nice, the twisted bar stock adds a nice menacing look.

Thank you good Sirs. I think that I will being doing more grills that incorporate twists on the bars and the forge blackening too as I do like the look also. :-)
