Okay, so it isn't armor, but it's sort of loosely related in that rings are also primarily made of metal.
I'm looking at trying my hand at making some 14th century rings, but am finding it difficult to find any good source material.
Can anyone help me find some decent images of jewelry from the 14th century, or someone else who does something similar, that might be able to help me out? It would be easy enough to just make some gold/silver bands and slap giant semi-precious stones on them, but that seems terribly generic, and I would rather distinguish them but I'm not quite sure how.
My goal is to come up with a few designs that I can reproduce with relatively little cost/effort to give out as largesse.

You might try the simpler end of middle eastern jewelry.
