Hi guys!

We got back from MTA this morning - I'm bushed! Image Here are some pictures from our trip:

We didn't enter any of the competition categories, except for encampment which everyone is judged on (we didn't win anything).

Nice tent. Thanks for sharing this so quickly! :>

Not to judge anybody's presentation, but pictures like this help everyone to sort out what works for living history and what doesn't work. Looks like a good time!

I went there. If I saw any archive guys I didn't know it. I did stop by your camp though. I had an archive tag on the pocket of my jacket.

If you saw Jamestown the Beginnig at the visitors center, I'm in the movie as Delawares bodyguard, wearing a 3/4 harness I made, but it was filmed 14 years ago.

Steve:

I particularly like the use of the "geteld-style" tent as a basic issue tent. Makes more sense in the context of a military unit as organized as the Templars. Also looks easier to set up than most round pavilions (which only certain of the officers in the Order were allowed anyway).

Overall, a very nice display.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Bob: We sure are in debt to Brian, since he's the only guy with a tent! Image

I've just ordered one from Tentsmiths that is very similar:

I also have a round pavilion on order from them. We definitely need to flesh out our encampment.

Sorry you weren't able to make it to visit with us!
