Cheap source of almost vervelles

Post by Rainald »

Found these in a local hardware store. They are threaded solid posts available in various sizes. I picked up 30 of them for about $3. I think they are used to support shelves in cabinets. I fugure all I have to do is drill a hole in them and they should be good to go.

Woodcraft.com has shelf supports with a brass coating on them and thier 3/16 on one side and 1/4 on the other ( or a bit more) I have been chucking these in my drill, putting the drill in a vice. lock the trigger and you have instant metal lathe, with the use of files. BTW its not very safe, but at around 2 buck for a sack of 15 its a good deal....
