Old Period-type Basc Liner, Otto von Teich
Hey, Otto, how'd this old period liner stuffed with tow last you? You'd completed it in Jan '02. Horizontal quilting, since you didn't want the tow migrating downhill, and weren't, apparently, going over the entire piece with running stitches in and out and in again to hold the linen tow.

It still looks like it did the day I made it! But I only wore it a few times to fight in. I need to redo it with horizontal rows to make it more historically accurate and comfortable ( think speed bumps going down over the ears LOL) I'd also like to replace the cotton shell with linen. Using Tow as stuffing does seem the best way to go! Wow, 13 years later and I still haven't redone it, I need to add that to the bucket list! LOL
