Beg: solid or falling buffe

Hi,
today I made a 16g rapier gorget, after being inspired by the Wombat. Once finished, I was surprised that it looked clean and presentable. So, I decided to go all the way with a "siege buffe"(Valentine), to wear with an early morion/kettle helm.
For the first half of the 15th century, Iberian peninsula and outliers, what would be more appropriate: a solid bevor or an articulated bevor? If articulated, how many lames? What sort of breaths should the bevor haves: slots, holes?
Thanks all, I really appreciate it.
