Youtube channel

Post by Graham Ashford »

Hello folks,

I've been lurking for a good while and figured it must be about time to try and give something back again.

Recently I made a start on my own 'how to' section of the interweb and created a youtube channel about some of the things, techniques and experiences I have gained over the last decade or so of doing my best at making armour for a living. I'm nervous about putting it out there for all to see as I know at it's worse the internet can be an unforgiving beastie, but nothing ventured nothing gained. :)

So please go along, take a look give any feedback you may have and if it scratches your itch subscribe and we'll see where we end up.

Over the future I hope to build it into a series of how to's, hints & tips, demonstration, reviews and looks at museums and handling sessions. I always appreciate your thoughts on future or current pieces and the community's wider support.

The channel can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiaOdg ... lofmAHUhrA

I hope it's of interest/use.

Kind regards

Graham

Thanks for all the kind words and support. I've started building an arms harness between now and Chistmas for hte channel and will be filming it bit by bit, the first part is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8in7GgTosw

Additionally I've just finished a riveting, riveting basics. For most of the guys here it will all be very old news, but I remember when I did my first successful rivet and it felt like I had just taken my first steps into learning the dark arts :) It was meant to be a five minute helper, but turned into a 30 minute ode to rivets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNQz-KBlEkU

Drawbridge, some nice work on your channel, happy to chat through what we might be able to do together sometime :)

Paladin74, still working as normal, I am trying to fit this in around my normal work.

All the best.
