Couple of videos of how I rough out greaves and cuisse

Hello all
It's been an age since I've been on and I've been enjoying catching up with some old threads and reading some new one.
I thought I'd share two videos I did recently, the first is of me roughing out a greave front and the second is the same of a cuisse with a few design pointers that I think I have observed along the way. I hope they're of use

That was fun to watch! Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate you taking the time to point out some of the subtleties of the cuisse shape.
I've got to make me one of those bent pipe stakes...it looks like it's very useful for those anticlastic curves. And a lot less work to make than a cow-tongue stake!

Hey I love watching your videos occasionally, when I get stuck on a project I skim through your videos to usually get a better understand of things I could do
thanks for posting

Keegan, Woodswork

Thanks for your feedback and kind words.
I'm certain there is more to the cuisse than I recognise and have been taught, every time I think I am getting a handle on things it always turns out there is so much more that I didn't see.
The bent pipe stake is a great piece of kit.

I really enjoy your presentation in the videos. You explain the reasons, not just the process. Much appreciated!

Perfect timing for me too - I'm trying to make a set of greaves but with no luck. I don't think I have a stake that's the right shape.
Interesting to see you're only really working the lower section, but to a nice overall end result.
