Shield update

Post by Constancius »

I reciently cutdown my 36" round shield to 24". BIG difference. It's made out of solid 1/2" plywood. At 36" it weighed 10lbs. It now weighs a fraction of that and ie ALOT easier to move around. The guys here used to call it "The Death Star".

I fought with it today. It made a huge difference in manuverability, and defense. I need alot of shield work.

At the moment it's center mounted. Would it be easier to use strapped? ShouldI stick with center mount? What do you all think?
Thanks for your opinions.

How you fight in your roundshield is just like what kind of underwear you have. It's a personal preference. Both good a bad for their own reasons. I prefer center because I can change my stance to suit who I am fighting a lot easier than I could if it was strapped.

Glad to see you finally got into something a little more suited to your fighting style Image

BTW I always prefered my rounds to be strapped as opposed to centergrip. It seemed to move faster for me that way.
