recomendations...

Post by Armourkris »

while digging through the back yard to find some stuff i could adapt to armouring i blundered across a sheet of 16 gauge steel. it's 25.5" by 22" so aproximatly 4 feet square.
any ideas what to make with it?

How big of a list do you want? Image
If it was mine I would make a new set of legs, mine are the first piece of armour I ever made, I should have entered them in the "ugly armour" contest!

well, i aint got anything to weld with, so anything has to be rivited together(though i was just looking at the salet patern about 10 minuts ago). i was thinking maybe one of those faceplate crusader helms, got parerns for one kickin around. but i was also leaning to legs or arms. its a tough call realy

Now that i looked at that picture of the sallet, and read that Tybolt has nothing to weld with... i think i am going to make that sallet with out welding and have it all rivited. like a spagen/sallet cross breed, i think it would look pretty cool. if i do it i will post a pic once i get a digital camera.

well, cutting steel with a jigsaw SUCKS.
where is a beverly shear when ya need it.
anyways, for anyne wandering i went with the faceplate style pot helm(early crusades i think) uhm, i'm going to give it a slat back, in anycase i need to go get some rivits before i put it together. not gona use roofing nails for my helm. uh uh.
James, i look forwards o seeing the salet if you do it. wish i had thought of that. i'm itching to try my new snazzy pink dishing stump.(dont ask)
