This is the 3rd try.
I saw this armor at Border Raids in Ky. I thought you all would like to see it. It kinda makes me want a Turkish persona.
What do you think?

Looks a bit like Nagy's work. I don't know the man but just what I have seen from him strikes me as being in the same family.
Regardless its beautiful stuff. Nice to see someone putting so much work into the little details like this kit.

Good God!
Thats Sweet - he looks good enough to kill

(joke please - The Valois Burgundian Dukes cherished the idea of heading a crusade - never happened in the 15th century).
Please tell me thats not stainless. Please also tell me the smith, I am impressed.
As an aside, the helmet and general kit looks more Egyptian/Mamaluk rather than Turkish - Norman will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong.

I wonder who?

Yes, I see Nagy's work in it, and Mine. This has been a long term off and on project.
Mike and I teach each other and work together off and on.
As for Mameluk, they were the Turkish calvary at one time. So you're close, chef de chambre.
As for who done what? I did the forging of the helm and all plates. The etching, brass, and the mail work was done by Mike. I assembled the helm and Mike assembled the plates.
As for what it is made of? Let's say maybe, meteor steel

Janos, I'm heart-broken... there's a guy named Abhammer and another guy named Nagy doing work like this, and you never introduced us?

Thought I saw some AB in there too.... nice work sir. You two have done a number of really spiffy projects together. Not unlike the historical partnership of artisans. Beautiful stuff.
And Russ, the only reason I didn't tell you about them is that I'm still pissed off about you not getting me a hat....

Alan, Mike looks great! Should have included a picture of his saddle for Chef, though. Let him know there are other 15th - 16th C. saddles in the USA!
You should see that shield, as well. Every inch of it is covered with infinite Islamic patterns, brass, etc. Every piece of brass on his kit he hand carved in wax, cast, polished, and in some cases, plated OR ENAMELED WITH GLASS!!!
Mike is the master. I'm a poor apprentice. I just clean up the messes, and sometimes cast messes.

Bascot, I will be putting those Items on the new website along with the new format.
I'll need closer photos so you can see all the detail.
