Hiya people!
I am going to fix my new suit when I get back from my 6 months working in norway and I have some design issues..
The suit is going to be used for heavy combat btw..
I am thinking about making a brig but I have problems with what kind of arms to use... I have been thinking about either wearing a white shirt under the red brig or to make puffy sleeves for the brig... have some kind of upper and lower arm protection under the sleeves and maby use gothic elbows over the sleeves, pointed to them.. would this work/look good/be kinda period/ etc.. ? Any ideas/suggestions?
Armour design problems..

From what I've seen, a brig would have been worn with 'hard' arm harness of the appropriate time and region (see Sinric's 15th c Arms in the Patterns section) or worn over an arming coat/doublet with puffed cap sleeves. You could incorporate a fair amount of padding into a cap sleeve, or attach arming points to the brig to lace pauldrons to it.
I see 'poofy' sleeves concealing armor as a way to get List Legal in what amounts to civilian clothing. If you're portraying an armored man-at-arms, why not do the whole rig?
What's the period/region you're portraying? (Before I shoot my mouth off any more...)
