Good fighting gauntlet

I want to make a pair of gauntlet but I realized one thing. Every well made gauntlet have a very good up-and-down wrist articulation. The fact is that when u get this kind of articulation, you just lock your wrist so it cant move left and right, which is very important when you attack with a sword. I could barely imagine myself fighting by always keeping my sword 90 degrees from my arm. Anyone have good fingered gauntlet model I could inspire myself of?
thanks

As a matter of fact, I just finished my prototype fingered gaunt, and it works quite well. I made it from my prototype metal (20ga galvy, since I have a ton of it) so it doesn't look pretty. I started to paint it 2 nights ago, so it's half&half black and galv. I'll post a pic of it in a second. If you give me a little while, I may be able to post a pattern.
It's based loosely on Thor Z's pattern (the fingers mostly) and alan bauldree's mitten (the bell and wrist lame). Everything else, such as the metacarpal, thumb, and knuckle gadling, are all my design. The big bell allows for very nice lateral movement, so you won't be shortchanged any.
Lemme get my camera out and.....

Annnnd....
Here you are. I'm sure you'll be able to make one that looks better than this, since it was essentially thrown together. I'm going to make better ones after I finish some current projects.

So.... don't look at the shinyness and crappy paint, look at the shape and design of the metal. It seems to work out really well. The glove makes it look like the gaunt doesn't cover all the parts, but the glove is way big, so don't be fooled. It should be SCA ok too. The plates can transfer energy to the weapon. Also, the thumb is something I made up myself. It's hinged together, so it's not flopping about as it would if it were articulated with leather.
The last pic is the best one...

Wow really... I guess I've been doing it wrong for the last 8 years...
And I must be copying Medieval armourer's who did it wrong for a couple of hundred....
Ok.. Ok all sarcasm aside. If They ARE "Well made" they either have a very angled cuff in relation to the metacarpal plate (IE hourglass Style) OR they have "Slotted Rivet Articulation" for the wrist pieces (IE Henry the 8th style). As soon as I get a response from Matt on how to get a webpage here I'll post some pix of that and other "little tricks" that period armourers used to get stuff done. Actually I'm sitting here looking at a Pair of mine with that right now... Oh well will have to wait for another night. Unless your interested enough to Yahoo messenge me iron_river_armoury .
