JeffJ, Hugo and others posted links to really good shoe merchants on another thread and possibly saved me from spending bad money, thanks all.
Now I am looking for merchants and patterns for Authentic style garb a 14C Englishman would wear. I have looked at Historic Enterprises and am pretty impressed but I would like to see other sources for historically accurate garb and also places to find/buy period correct patterns so I could actually start to make some clothing other thatn T-tunics.

James here is a link to Klaus' web site. His stuff is pretty good. I cant vouch for his scholarship, but his work is first rate. Everything is living history grade - at least for most groups standards. All visible stitching is hand done. All materials are natural and the cut of the clothing is as close to currently accepted findings as is viable.

He can be induced to do custom work as well, although he prefers to be able to do fittings in person, and since he is currently located in Boston that may prove problematic. However drop him a line and perhaps he can work with you.
