hey guys just wondering if anyone knows where we can get some of thjis in australia, preferably brisbane qld area ... and an approximate price..

First off... What are you going to try and make with it? cause that is what really determines which "ALLOY" of aluminum you want to start with. then after that is How are you going to shape it..that determines which "Temper Grade" you want to get the Aluminum Alloy in. Shields: any of the Aircraft series alloys will do. the higher the temper grade the better. But only if you have a 20 ton rolling press or better.. Anything that is going over the spine or throat: 7075 (T3-T6), 2024(T3-T6), 6061(T6).. Something you want to dish: 6061 (T-4) or 2024 (T-2/T-3) or anything in T-0. Anything that has almost no 3Dshape and has to stay un bent.... 7075 T-6.

That said and out of the way... look in your local phone information book under sheet metal suppliers. They are pretty much all the same... but it doenst hurt to shop around just incase some sell drops. or have free delivery or sell already cut pieces at scrap price(I have local place that does that out of their Commercial drops... Its GREAT)
