Review- Minamoto Armoury

Post by Dagisd »

This review is long overdue. Sorry Joe.
Joe from Minamoto Armoury cut, shaped, formed and hardened a wonderful muscled-cuirass. It's made of 14 oz veg tan, I believe he said it was water hardened and lacquered. I'd requested him to go easy on the musculature, so I didn't look like a goon on steroids, and he did so perfectly. it came fully strapped at the sides and shoulders.
I wore it into the Bridge Battle and was hit rather hard in the front(ish) left side and it protected me superbly. I had no padding beneath it, no bruise or mark rose up from it, only that I was a bit winded from the force itself.
I'll recommend Minamoto Armoury to anyone lookng for a good leather cuirass. Joe and his partner also do other pieces in leather and are venturing into steel.

Note that the URL provided by Dagisd is wrong (typo). (I still find it amazing that people will register typos as domain-name forwarders.)
