I am going to do some tinning soon, and am considering a melter to melt the tin in. I am considering purchasing one of these:

Will this do for melting tin? I intend to get a large turkey pot or the like for holding the moten tin.

it should, my grandfather cast several tons of sinkers with a set up like that. The only thing I'm not sure off is the ammount of tin you want to melt at one time in it?
