Ok.. anyone have some links to good patterns.
Just finished a coat of plates and have half a side of 6 oz leather left over and my wife wants to try making some boots. Told her I'd give a shout ot for some patterns.

I've a pattern for some very simple pointed turn shoes. BTW: Steve those are some real nice looking boots you made. I think I know what my next shoe/boot project is going to be. :^)

Unfortunately, unless you have the same size foot as me I couldn't make them for you. I bought a pair from a fellow who knows how to take a tracing of my foot and a single measurement and then make a pattern. Those shoes wore out, so I cut them opened and used them as patterns to make the ones you see above.

However, I lack the skill to take a foot measurement and turn it into a pattern. I want to figure it out some day (my fiance wants shoes...) but I don't have the time now, what with the new house and all.

I'm making a pair of turnshoes based off of steve's picture. (they're are a hair too small, so if you wear a size 11-11.5 mail me)
I'm making mine out of buffalo hide, which i got from brettuns. If you want to use that picture as a pattern, rotate it 90 degrees.
change the dimensions (with aspect ratio locked) to 8"wide. Then re size again for 240%. print out (it will take several sheets) and cut the pattern out and glue it back together.

You could always use the old sock & duct tape trick to make a pattern. Put on a couple of old socks, duct tape the heck out of it, draw your seams with a marker and cut it off along the lines.
