Mempo and 3 piece Kabuto

Anyone have any tips on these two Items? The Kabuto is easy enough, its the mempo or more accuratly the somen that I am worried about. How dose it fit in relation to the kabuto and so forth. Oh a quick note on the easy of japanese armor constuction. Sure meatal work wise its easy stuff, and some of the styles were desighned for mass production, but you sould try the old school O-yori. Keep in mind that the lace used in the lacing was hand made.
