Shield Strapping help please! x-post

also... for those that have used rawhide edging on your shields - how did you attach it? If you used carpet tacks, did you have any problems with them coming out?

I laced it on with linen cord. When the rawhide drys it will glue itself to the shield. I then covered the whole mess in canvas. Af for the bolts i used galvanized bolts instead of zinc coated because they take paint better.
