Please post pics of late sallets (1500-1510) with bevor...

Title pretty much sums it up. Anyone have good pics (or even crappy ones...) of sallets from the end of the sallet lifespan?

My library is fairly limited. Looking for a sallet and bevor from the early 16th century.

As a side note- what is the date of the sallet/close helm in the Met? I believe it is 1485 but am not sure...

do a search for : Albrecht Durer (umlouts over the U) called "Knight, Death and the Devil (1513) the national gallery of art in washington i think has it. nice full suit. no bevor though, but his sallet helm strap looks like a football chin strap

Whuzzshakin? Yeah I need to get over to your shop someday. Going up to Talbott's place is so freakin far. Nothing like a 1 1/2 hour drive each way on a Friday night! :-)

Drop me an email or PM with times you are at the shop and directions. Where is your shop at these days? Same place? I think I remember you saying you moved it out to the garage from upstairs...

Anyway- talk to ya soon: I still need a piece of armour, although my needs may have changed some...

Wolf~ I believe the armour from the Durer print is earlier, it was done in 1513 but I believe the armour was of about 1485-1490, but I could be wrong. I probably am. LOL.
Anyone know the date of the sallet w/ bevor in the Met? I have a couple of pics but none with dates (they are snapshots).
