Nice hammer collection

There are actually about 5 or so more hammers in the upstairs closet that my wife stuffs all the tools and things I leave lyin around on the kitchen table and places like that. You can never have too many hammers though

Just curious; what do you use the pair of pipes on the front edge of your workbench for?

Nice area Matt. Wish I had that much room to play in. All I have is a 8X10 section of the back pourch which faces north. Unenclosed and cramped In the summer I'm plagued by the dreaded Louisiana mosiquitos and in winter by blowing rain.

Yeah there's a fair bit of space in there at the moment. My parrents sold their farm though so my charger's gonna have to squeeze in.

It's not insulated or heated so it's definitly cold. This week the temp in my shop went down to -18 celcius. ie way below freezing.

Stoopid geocities. It seems I've exceeded my allocated data transfer. It should work again by the next hour.

D'oh! Been there, done that. I'll check back in an hour or so. Are the photos pretty large in file size? Perhaps reducing them will help curtail this in the future.

and i was usng the guide on one of the tablesaws in my shop to curve pices much like i think your doing yours,
well, till my grandfather got decidedly angry about it, was afraid i was gona break teh saw. right... but anyways, looks nice, i wish i had that much space, and that many tools.. mmmmm shears....

It's 15'x27' with another little section off the end that's 6'x6' so it's about 450 sq ft total.

Here's the secret: Matt made a roller, but instead of a third tube, he presses down on the metal. If you take your time, you can get a pretty even curve. It works well for tubes and ok for cones. I've made one as well, but mine is not as nice as his. It's a lot cheaper than a roller, and more versatile, but not as fast.

Yea, that's a lot of hammers.

And I think my shop is just as cold, but smaller, about 15' x 20'.

Dalewyn gave the secret away.

Those are pipes left over from my chainlink fence. Not really sure how yours could be nicer. I didn't even deburr any of the scraps of metal I made it from.

I think if your shop isn't heated then it's probably colder then mine. IIRC Nova Scotia generally gets colder temps then here: About an hour and a half north of Toronto Ontario.

you can also use the spaced pipes to start creases if you use heavey pipe.
